Empowering Single Mothers, Transforming Lives
At The Mama Kay Foundation, our mission is to support single mothers and their children in Uganda by providing secure housing, education, and skill-building opportunities. We address the unique challenges faced by single mothers, helping them to overcome poverty, gain financial independence, and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
Secure Housing & Emergency Shelter
We provide safe and stable housing for single mothers facing homelessness or domestic violence. Our secure environment offers a place for women to rebuild their lives and focus on their futures.
Vocational Training & Education
We empower women through practical vocational skills, such as tailoring, hairdressing, crafting, and coding, enabling them to secure employment and support their families.
Healthcare & Support Services
We offer access to medical care, including maternal and child healthcare, as well as trauma counseling and mental health support to ensure the well-being of mothers and their children.
Mentorship & Leadership Development
Our mentorship programs connect single mothers with community leaders and other women who have overcome similar challenges. We encourage leadership development, advocacy support.
