Empowering Single Mothers through Education, Training, and Support
The Mama Kay Foundation offers a range of programs designed to support single mothers and their children by providing them with the skills, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive. Our programs are tailored to meet the unique challenges these women face, helping them build sustainable futures and break the cycle of poverty.
1. Vocational Training Programs
We equip single mothers with practical skills that open doors to employment and entrepreneurship. Our vocational training programs include:
- Tailoring & Fashion Design
- Hairdressing & Beauty
- Crafting & Accessory Making
- Farming & Agriculture
Through hands-on workshops, women gain skills they can use to start their own businesses or secure jobs in their communities.
2. STEM & Digital Literacy Programs

- Public Speaking & Advocacy
- STEM Research & Innovation
These programs provide women with the tools to pursue careers in STEM fields, empowering them to contribute to Uganda’s economic growth.
3. Health & Wellness Education
Our health programs focus on reproductive, maternal, and child healthcare, ensuring that single mothers have access to the medical services they need. Topics include:
- Maternal Health & Family Planning
- Childcare & Nutrition
- Mental Health Support & Counseling
We work closely with local healthcare centers to offer free medical services and health education to our program participants.
4. Leadership & Mentorship

This program helps women become advocates for themselves and their communities, enabling them to inspire and support others.
